🦉 The Great Online Game

What is it, and how can you play it.

Read time: 2 minutes.

Welcome back, happy Sunday!

I want to talk to you about the Great Online Game and why it is important for us.

The Great Online Game is a concept by Packy McCormick that views the internet as a massive, multiplayer online game where every social media post, blog, comment, like, and share that you make is a move that influences your personal and professional life.

In this game, all your digital actions have real world implications, and the skills you develop can lead to opportunities and success.

It's a metaphor for how people can use their online presence to achieve their goals and build meaningful connections and careers in the digital age.

This leads us to (you guessed it?) the Digital Renaissance and how you can play the game.

The majority of people don’t play the game. They are spectators. They scroll and consume.

But if you want to have a great and fulfilling life in the Digital Renaissance, you will play it.

Your tweets, blogs, Instagram Stories, DM’s, and LinkedIn posts are all actions you do in the game. Every single piece of content is a chance to capture attention, to connect, and to open doors to new opportunities.

Just like in any game, you have an avatar that’s your digital persona. It can be you, or an “avatar” you made up.

The important thing is to be authentic and not put on a mask.

This is about amplifying who you are and showing your skills, your thoughts, and your values to the world.

Your avatar presence is how the world sees and interacts with you in the digital arena.

The more you engage, the more you're rewarded. Every like, share, and comment you receive expands your reach and creates a network and community.

This community will amplify your voice, support your ideas, and open up new paths and opportunities that you would have never interacted with - collaborations, job offers, partnerships, friendships, and more.

There are no limits. The more you play (well and intentionally), the more you gain.

And to master the online game is all about authenticity, creativity, and consistency. Share your journey, engage genuinely, interact with others, build connections, and keep leveling up your skills.

Remember that even though your actions are online, the rewards spread across online and offline.

You will end up meeting people, traveling, discovering places, and making friends.

The endgame is to continue playing. The game never stops.

Play it authentically, and you will unlock incredible levels in life!
